LAS VEGAS – Helix Electric, the largest merit shop electrical contractor in Nevada and throughout neighboring states, is proud to announce the promotion of Michael Vita to senior vice president. In this new role, Vita will head expansion and growth efforts for the company’s offices in Las Vegas, Reno, and Salt Lake City. Vita will also be tasked with increasing Helix’s client base, implementing effective and efficient systems to ensure smooth operations across all aspects of the business, and executing the company’s annual strategic plan.
“Michael has been an asset to our team for the past 15 years,” said Victor Fuchs, president of Helix Electric of Nevada. “He is the ultimate team member, unconditionally embracing that we work better and can accomplish more together, rather than individually. He is an exemplary leader and has been instrumental in several large business developments, including the establishment of our offices in Reno and Salt Lake City. This promotion is well-deserved and I look forward to Mike’s continued success with our company.”
Since joining the Helix team in 2006, Vita has held numerous roles within the electrical contracting company, including: Vice President, Operations Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager. He has been a part of projects from start to finish, from leading the planning and implementation of electrical installations to monitoring job costs against estimate budgets to manage spending. Prior to starting in his initial position with Helix, Vita worked for Benderson Development in Buffalo, NY and Vita Electric in Las Vegas.
With a passion for the industry and his own personal advancement, Vita is a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. He has called the Las Vegas Valley home for more than 35 years and when he is not working, he enjoys scuba diving, hiking, golfing, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
