ChiAm, a fast casual Chinese restaurant that specializes in dim sum, opened their first location in Las Vegas today. Mayor Carolyn Goodman, Mayor Pro Tem Steve Ross, ChiAm shareholders and Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce representatives celebrated the grand opening of the first location by cutting the ribbon at a ceremony this afternoon.
Mayor Goodman presented ChiAm with a proclamation, declaring today “ChiAm Day” in the City of Las Vegas. Goodman said she is excited to see ChiAm locations open around the city, and especially looking forward to a location close to City Hall. May Pro Tem Ross emphasized the importance of small business in the community and applauded ChiAm for creating sustainable jobs for Las Vegas residents.
“We are so excited to bring new concept for Chinese dining to Las Vegas,” said Christopher Sugden, president of ChiAm Restaurants. “We look forward to becoming a household name for the best food and dim sum in Las Vegas and beyond. While the first is extremely special, this is only the beginning… We look forward to opening 30 additional ChiAm locations in the near future to serve this community.”
