The UNLV Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies recognized Henderson Mayor Pro-Tem Debra March with the 2015 LIFRES Award at a dinner on Nov. 4. This new award is presented to an individual who has contributed considerably to the growth and sustainability of the Lied Institute.
March was a founding board member of the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies and later served as the executive director from 1996 to 2009. In that position, she led efforts for the development of livable communities in Southern Nevada and served as a mentor to many students completing the program. Today, she remains a committed volunteer to the Institute.
“I’m incredibly honored to receive this lifetime achievement award from the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies,” said March. “For me, this is a true testament to the work we’ve accomplished together to make our communities so great. I’m truly humbled by this recognition and thank all of the people that supported me along the way and continue to do so today.”
