On Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Aliante Golf Club, the Foundation Assisting Seniors (FAS) and the Veterans of Sun City Aliante held their first Charity Golf Tournament. The Foundation raised an estimated $7,000. Proceeds go directly to providing funding for the Foundation’s current programs as well as to begin new programs.

“We’re thankful to those that came out to the tournament and helped us raise money for the Foundation Assisting Seniors. Favil West, president of the Foundation Assisting Seniors said, “It is delightful to know that we can raise money for the Foundation Assisting Seniors and on the same token, provide enjoyment to our attendees at our Charity Aliante Golf Tournament with a good game.”

During the event, raffle prizes, ranging from vacation packages to dinner gift certificates, were given away. Other prizes during the tournament included: “Hole in One;” “Closest to Pin” and; “Longest Drive.”
