LAS VEGAS – Honor Flight Southern Nevada is holding a reunion luncheon for WWII veterans at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 7 at the Bootlegger Italian Bistro’s special event center, The Copa Room, with the Honorable Lorraine Hunt-Bono and Dennis Bono hosting the event.
The luncheon provides veterans who have traveled with Honor Fight the opportunity to reconnect with their fellow veterans. At this time, they will also receive a photo album with pictures to commemorate their trip.
“We are pleased to provide these great men and women with this reunion experience to receive the recognition that they deserve on this special day,” said Belinda Morse, executive director of Honor Flight Southern Nevada. “This is especially poignant as this year marks the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII and the 74th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.”
“It is my honor and privilege to be able to provide the venue for such exceptional men and women who served our country during WWII. Pearl Harbor Day signifies the entry of our Country into the war that stood for liberty and life for so many people around the world,” said the Honorable Lorraine Hunt-Bono.
