John P. Desmond Re-Appointed to Second Term with University of Nevada, Reno Foundation.

“It is a great pleasure to be able serve an organization that benefits the students at the University of Nevada, Reno,” said Desmond. “The board of trustees is committed to supporting academic and public service programs. From undergraduate research and study abroad opportunities to veteran services and Wolf Pack athletics, the students who choose Nevada benefit from outstanding academic programs and faculty, state-of-the-art facilities and technology.”

Desmond is a member in the firm’s Reno office. He focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation and appellate work. He regularly represents and counsels clients in commercial and business litigation matters involving contract disputes, buy/sell agreements and disputes over intellectual property. He has also represented physician groups in regard to compliance and contractual matters. His representation of clients includes a significant number of matters before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The University of Nevada, Reno Foundation was established in 1981 with the mission of attracting philanthropy to the university.
