Henderson’s Taylor Elementary Robotics Club and president’s award recipients received gift cards on June 4 from Tronox, the worldwide chemical company.

Each year, Tronox helps fund the Robotics Club. Rick Stater, Henderson plant manager, got Tronox involved with the club eight years ago after the instructor reached out for mentoring and financial assistance. Tronox employees volunteer their time with the club.

“Tronox has truly made a positive impact on our students by funding the Robotics Club,” said Taylor principal Janet Dobry. “Their involvement sparks an interest for math and science among the students that is so exciting to see.”
