(HENDERSON/LAS VEGAS, NV)- In June 2014, the Sparks Professional Fire Fighters (SPFF) presented three graduating high school students each with a $500 scholarship. These education-based donations are part of an annual effort for the firefighters to further education in the Sparks community.
Tristan Nash of Sparks High School, Gina Cha of Reed High School, and Logan Draper of Reed High School were each presented with scholarships. They were selected as recipients based upon high academic achievement and scholastic involvement.
The SPFF is proud to give back to the youth in the communities they serve. Chris Jones, president of the SPFF, says, “This is just one way the SPFF serve the Sparks community off duty, and they are glad they can assist those deserving students who are seeking assistance in furthering their education.”
