(Storey County, NV) – In July 2014, the Storey County Professional Fire Fighters (SCPFF) presented a graduating high school student with a $1,000 scholarship. This education-based donation is part of an annual effort for the firefighters to further education in the Storey County community.
Christopher Dufresne was presented with a scholarship, which would help him with tuition and books. He was selected as a recipient based upon high scholastic involvement and academic achievement.
The SCPFF are proud to be able to give back to the youth in the communities they serve. This is just one way the SCPFF serve the Storey County community off duty, and they are glad they can assist those deserving students who are working hard towards furthering their education. Secondary education is so important, which is why the SCPFF have dedicated themselves to sponsoring scholarships for local high school students year after year.
