LAS VEGAS – Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney Leighton Koehler has joined the firm’s Las Vegas office as of Counsel.

He focuses his practice on tax controversy, estate planning, and business services. In addition to being an attorney, he is a licensed Nevada CPA that spent over two years at Ernst & Young and over six years as a senior revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He has represented clients in U.S. Tax Court and before the IRS including collections, examinations, appeals and voluntary disclosures to the Criminal Investigations Division.

A former U.S. Army Ranger and Paratrooper, he graduated cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in accounting obtained from Southern Utah University. Mr. Koehler is licensed to practice in the U.S. Tax Court and Nevada’s state and federal courts.
