Tronox Employees Donate Training Equipment to Henderson Fire Dept

Tronox, a Henderson manufacturing plant, donated two compressed gas cylinders to the Henderson Fire Department for training purposes.

Tronox employees at the Henderson site use similar vessels to demonstrate and practice methods for emergency response on different types of cylinders.

“We are happy to contribute to the Henderson Fire Department and we hope that this will allow the opportunity for many more firefighters to increase their skillset,” said Rick Stater, Tronox Henderson plant manager. “We know that through supporting our public services, we are also building a safer community.”

The cylinders will be used at the Henderson Fire Department’s main training center for new recruits and continued education purposes.

“We are grateful for community partners like Tronox,” said Henderson Firefighters (Local 1883) President Dan Pentkowski. “Having businesses behind us, supporting our firefighters, certainly makes a huge difference. Tronox’s donation will help make our community safer by providing great training for the Department.”
