Tronox, a Henderson manufacturing plant, donated $2,000 to support the C.T. Sewell Elementary School student garden club. This donation will help purchase supplies for the garden, including soil and seedlings for various crops. Henderson, Nev. – Tronox joins the efforts of HopeLink of Southern Nevada to collect gifts for local, low-income children this holiday season.
The goal is to collect more than 1,000 unwrapped new gifts by Dec. 1. The gifts will be distributed to children ages 2 to 17 at the Candy Cane Kids event held on Dec. 17. (more…)

Tronox donated $300 to the McCaw School of Mines to assist in funding their “Halloween at the Mine” event.
On Oct. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m., the McCaw School of Mines will host a Halloween themed night. There will be tours of the mine, trick or treating, a costume parade and games.
The donation was made in hopes that it will help provide the Henderson community with a fun holiday celebration.

Tronox, LLC is proud to announce that Plant Manager Rick Stater was elected to the McCaw School of Mines Board of Directors.
The McCaw School of Mines, located at Gordon McCaw Elementary in Henderson, houses the “Jewel of the Desert,” a simulated mine where students can learn about mining and its important history in Nevada. McCaw offers hands-on field trips to fourth grade students throughout the Clark County School District. (more…)
