Henderson Professional Fire Fighters Raise Thousands for Breast Cancer Research.

Henderson Professional Fire Fighters (HPFF) teamed up with the Henderson Firefighter Benevolent Association (HFBA) to raise approximately $3,500 to donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Firefighters sold “Go Pink for the Cure” t-shirts within the organization and to community members last month. Henderson firefighters are wearing the shirts on duty throughout the month of October to show their support and to help raise awareness.

The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation is hosting its 13th Annual “Fill the Fire Truck” Toy Drive. Las Vegas, Clark County, Henderson, Nellis, NNSS Fire & Rescue (Test Site), and North Las Vegas Fire Departments will participate in a four-week long effort to collect toys and gift cards for economically challenged children throughout the valley, with all fire stations serving as drop-off locations throughout the month of December.

(Henderson, Nev.) –For the second time, the Henderson Firefighters will be showing their support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) by selling “Go Pink for the Cure” charity shirts to the public. Fifty percent of the proceeds will benefit the BCRF, and the other half will go to the Henderson Firefighters Benevolent Association (HFBA), which benefits other local nonprofit organizations in the community.

(Storey County, NV) – In July 2014, the Storey County Professional Fire Fighters (SCPFF) presented a graduating high school student with a $1,000 scholarship. This education-based donation is part of an annual effort for the firefighters to further education in the Storey County community.
